Three Upcoming Reading Events I Can't Wait to Take Part In!

It's the last week of May, and I'm happy to say that... I'm back, baby! (^_^)

The four-months tax certification course is done and dusted! And my weekends will be my own again! While I still have to catch up with reviews (six books behind), I'm eager to be back to my blogging routines. And opening my blog again today, what did I find? There are - not one, not two, but - three reading events that are going to start very soon. I'm thrilled to join in, and here they are with some of possible reads (I missed these - planning and sorting books - things!)

  1. YES. I'm doing 20 Books of Summer and Paris in July. From your lists I've read Hotel New Hampshire and Elegance of a Hedgehog. For me, Hedgehog was a tough one to get started with, but when Mr. Ozu enters the story, it really takes off, so stick with it!

    1. Well noted, thanks for the tips, Jinjer! I have actually started it last year, but, as you mentioned, the first chapter didn't resonate with me, and so I abandoned it. Will try to stick with it this time!
Have fun with both events! ^^

  2. I'm doing 20 Books of Summer with a terrifying pile of hardbacks! I've read eight of your 20 and I will say the Pym is unlike her others and quite a hard read but I'm sure you'll cope. Have fun!

  3. I absolutely loved The Shell Seekers when I first read it decades ago and when I reread it a few years ago. Definitely a good summer book. Cold Comfort Farm is also a fun book. I read Toujours Provence many, many years ago--not as good as A Year in Provence, but again, a great summer book.

  4. Congratulations on your certification. I know how you feel. I'm 7 books behind in my reviews. But I don't have a certification to show for it. Just busy w/ life in general. I may join 20 books of summer. Enjoy recouping your writing time!!

  5. Glad to see you back, and congratulations on finishing your course! Very happy that you'll be joining in Reading the Meow. I'm joining in for 20 Books and Paris in July as well. I read The Red Notebook some months ago and loved it--I'm sure you will too!

  6. So much summer fun! I've joined in for 20 (10) Books of Summer as well. Not sure if I'll read anything for Paris in July; depends on if I come up with anything I'm interested in that fits and I have time to read. I thought Crooked House a top Christie and I really enjoyed Cold Comfort Farm. Enjoy!
