I may not do Top Ten Tuesdays
hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl very often, but occasionally I can be tempted
to do one, like today’s prompt (it’s super easy – I could have done more than
ten!)
Ten Books I Hope Santa Brings This
Year:
A Merry Christmas (Louisa May
Alcott)
Father (Elizabeth von Arnim)
Lucy Gayheart (Willa Cather)
The Tiger: A True Story of
Vengeance and Survival (John Vaillant)
Murder Most Unladylike (Robin
Stevens)
The Girl, the Dog, and the Writer
in Lucerne (Katrina Nannestad)
Agatha Christie: An Autobiography (Agatha Christie)
Perestroika in Paris (Jane Smiley)
Agatha Christie’s Poirot: The
Greatest Detective in the World (Mark Aldridge)
Some really good choices, I hope you get some of them. I liked The Cornish Coast Murder and the Agatha Christie autobiography (that one is brilliant). I want to read Father at some stage too. I've just followed you on Instagram, Goodreads and Twitter. :-)
ReplyDeleteAw.. thanks Cath! I've followed your Twitter account as well. As for GR & IG, I'm not very active now, but thanks anyway. :)
DeleteYes, I've heard praises for the Agatha Christie autobiography, they say it's one of her best!
I've been on an Elizabeth von Arnim kick myself. I hope you receive Father for Christmas and everything else on your list. Happy Holidays!
ReplyDeleteI've just read Elizabeth & Her German Garden, and fell in love instantly with her witty writing!
DeleteI hope you find all these under your tree! I should probably add that Agatha Christie biography to my Christmas list as well. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, AJ! Agatha Christie autobiography would be a great present. Hope you'll get your wish! :)
DeleteI hope you find all of these under your tree this year!

ReplyDeleteWell, I'd be very happy if I'd get one, but amen to that! :)) Happy reading, and good luck, too!
DeleteGreat looking books there. I hope you get them ☺️
ReplyDeleteHave a great week!

DeleteI liked Lucy Gayheart. And Murder Most Unladylike looks like fun. Hope you get all of these and many more this holiday season. :D
ReplyDeleteOh, I'm relieved that you liked Lucy Gayheart, people rarely talked about this one.
DeleteMurder Most Unladylike IS fun & charming! I've read the Christmas edition (loved it!), and now want to read the series from the 1st.
Nice list! LITTLE WOMEN is one of my favorite books of all time, but I actually haven't read anything else by Alcott. That Christmas collection sounds fabulous!
ReplyDeleteHappy TTT!
Same here! Little Women is the only one I've ever read from Alcott. I hope this Christmas stories is as good as that.
DeleteI hope you find some of these under your tree!
