This is my personal canon:

  • My favorites: books that I will read again and again.
  • Books which resonate best with me.
  • Books which have special place in my heart, for whatever reason.

  1. We share seven of these! I just finished Lord of the Flies again, this time w/ my kids. Still a favorite. Haven't read Cannery Row.

    1. Oh, I can even guess which titles are those seven! LOL
      I'm glad you love Lord of the Flies too. It seems that it's of those books which either people love or hate it - most of whom I know, hate LOTF :(. Just like The Portrait of A Lady.
